Click here for NY Times Article on residential ERV’s.
Today’s eco-conscious homeowner wants to reduce their impact on
the environment while maintaining a comfortable lifestyle. You can help them
achieve this by installing a RAVE in their home.
The RAVE is a residential Energy Recovery Ventilation
(ERV) unit like no other. Not only is it more than 80 percent effective it also
humidifies or dehumidifies a house at the desire of the homeowner. Other
residential HRV products can’t do that.
The RAVE uses patented wheel technology that rotates between incoming and
outgoing air streams to pump out stale air and pump in fresh air while capturing
up to 80 percent of the energy within the exhaust.
In the winter the RAVE pre-heats, and in the summer it pre-cools, incoming fresh
air while removing harmful contaminants such as chemicals, radon, odors,
formaldehyde, viruses and bacteria that build up naturally in homes.
The RAVE also goes one step further than HRV products. The desiccant impregnated
wheel allows
homeowners to
remove moisture in the summer or add humidity in the winter at the touch of a
button. An advanced frost-control system also ensures the RAVE will work
efficiently even during subzero days.

Installation and maintenance is a
breeze
The RAVE can easily be attached to a new or existing home’s heating and cooling
system by a qualified contractor. Maintenance is also a breeze. Standard pleated
filters that can remove airborne particles as small as 5 microns (the dot on an
“i” is 397 microns) are housed in channels for easy access. There is no guessing
when filters need replaced. The Rave is self-monitoring and an indicator on the
RAVE’s optional control panel lights up when a clean filter is required. Other
features include:
- Door Safety Interlock
- Removable, Cleanable Enthalpy Wheel
- Individually-Controlled Blower Motors
- Temperature Sensors
- Microprocessor
- Heart Beat Indicator
- Selectable Defrost Mode
- Service Override Switches
- Computer Port for Service Troubleshooting
You’re in control
The RAVE’s
optional remote control looks like a thermostat and mounts to a wall. It allows
users to switch the unit on and off, place it in economizer mode and adjust
wheel speeds.
It’s something to RAVE about
Today’s homes are designed to be tightly sealed for energy efficiency, but that
just traps in unwanted odors and pollutants. provide your customers with a
comfortable indoor environment of fresh, healthy air that’s also good for the
outdoor environment.
